Also we would like to say a huge well done to William Oldroyd whose short film ‘Best’ won the 2013 Short film Competition
As part of Sundance London this year there was a short film competition to make a 3-5 minute film around the concept of time, very appropriate given the festival is held at the place of Greenwich meantime. The theme was ‘The Time is Now; a story that is about being immediate and in the moment.’
What the judges had to say:
“The other jurors and I were delighted to find in Best a succinct yet moving story that so cleverly exemplifies the tagline ‘The Time is Now.’ Terrifically framed images as well as stellar performances bring to life a story that impressively manages to be tender, raw, visceral and heartbreaking in under five minutes.” – Trevor Groth, Sundance Film Festival Director of Programming and jury member.
