LSFF Programme Announced


Yes, its that time of year again.

The 12th London Short Film Festival have now revealed what will be screening in January 2015 and we’re super excited to see some new short films strands alongside our old favorites! (Fucked Up Love and Night Of The Living Docs)

Zealous X – Open For Submissions

Zealous X are excited to announce that their art competition is now open for submissions, giving 100 artists the chance to showcase their work of art, film, music, performance and photography in the heart of London this November 28 over four days.

Open to short films, documentaries, animation shorts, drama, romance, horror, or science fiction, anything you have, send it in!

About Zealous X:
Zealous X celebrates the breadth of creativity by showcasing the works of 100 artists from across art, film, photography, music and performance at Bargehouse, a five-floor venue between the Tate Modern and the National Theatre in London. All artists showcased will be from submissions selected by a panel of independent judges.

CALL FOR SHORT FILMS


re:VAULT runs regular film nights at Bar Kick in Shoreditch and after a short summer break we will be back in September and we want to screen YOUR films.

Its free to submit but we ask that –
• Films be under 20 minutes in length
• Films to have been completed no later than January 2011.
• All projects must be represented by at least one of the following crew members on the night:- writer, producer or director on the night for a Q&A session
• Your film fit into one of the below themes.

September 30 – ‘London Town’ Themed shorts – let’s celebrate the best and worst that London has to offer!
October 28 – ‘Scares & Thrills from the Vault’ – Horror themed shorts (fancy dress optional, screams insisted!)
November 25 – ‘Laugh Out Loud’ – Comedy shorts – the cold nights are drawing close so come warm yourself in the vault with laughter!

re:VAULT is an online network and resource for indie filmmakers, with an aim to promoting crowdfunded projects. Our mission is to: ‘Assist filmmakers in their crowdfunding endeavors. Help to promote indie film projects. And to create a online network and resource for indie filmmakers’. The Film Den is a place for filmmakers to meet and screen their work, discuss with others and network, if you’re crowdfunding a film its also a great place to let people know and tell them more about what you’re hoping to make.

Bafta Winner – Pitch Black Heist


Film 4 have uploaded the Bafta winning short film Pitch Black Heist to their site and we think its well worth checking out!

Liam (Liam Cunningham) and Michael (Michael Fassbender) are professional safe crackers who meet on a simple job to relieve an office safe from its contents. The catch is a light activated alarm system impelling the men to embark on a pitch black heist.
